Police have arrested six suspects during raids in different areas of Anjira in Khuzdar district in connection with the murder of Asma Jattak’s father.
According to police officials, officers conducted the raids after receiving information from a sensitive security agency. During the operation, police detained several suspects and recovered a large quantity of illegal weapons, ammunition, drugs, and two vehicles.
The arrests form part of an ongoing investigation into the murder. Police are questioning the suspects to determine their possible involvement in the killing and other criminal activities.
Police Continue Investigation Into Murder
DIG Kalat Range Wazir Khan Nasar told the media that investigators were interrogating the arrested suspects. He said police were examining their possible links to the murder and other crimes reported in the area.
Nasar added that authorities were following all legal requirements during the investigation. He said police would continue collecting evidence and pursue the case until they reach a logical conclusion.
Meanwhile, investigators have intensified efforts to locate the main suspect in the case. Police said the suspect remains at large despite the latest arrests.
Main Suspect Zahoor Jamaldini Still At Large
The DIG identified the main suspect as Zahoor Jamaldini and said police were making efforts to arrest him. Investigators are also reviewing records of cases in which Jamaldini was previously convicted.
Police are examining the available records as part of their broader investigation. Authorities hope the information will help establish the suspect’s movements, previous activities, and possible links to the murder.
The investigation remains ongoing, while police continue searching for Jamaldini. Officials said further action would follow as investigators gather additional evidence and complete the legal process.
