Pakistan’s security forces killed 12 militants during two intelligence-based operations carried out in Washuk and Mastung districts of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operations took place on August 5 and August 6, 2026, as part of the ongoing “Rad-ul-Fitna-3” campaign. According to the military’s media wing, the campaign is aimed at eliminating militant networks described as Indian proxies.
Six Militants Killed in Washuk Operation
According to ISPR, security forces detected the movement of six militants in Washuk district on August 5 through intelligence inputs.
The troops immediately launched an operation and engaged the militants. Following what ISPR described as a precise and effective engagement, all six militants were killed.
The military identified the deceased as members of Fitna Al Hindustan.
Second Operation Conducted in Mastung
A separate intelligence-based operation was conducted in Mastung district on August 6.
According to ISPR, security forces exchanged heavy fire with armed militants during the operation.
As a result, six more militants were killed. Furthermore, security forces destroyed a militant hideout during the operation.
The military again identified the slain militants as members of Fitna Al Hindustan.
Operations Part of “Rad-ul-Fitna-3” Campaign
ISPR stated that both operations formed part of the ongoing “Rad-ul-Fitna-3” intelligence-driven campaign targeting militant networks.
According to the military, the campaign focuses on dismantling terrorist infrastructure through intelligence-led operations across affected areas.
Commitment Under “Azm-e-Istehkam”
The military reaffirmed that counterterrorism operations will continue under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
According to ISPR, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations at full pace to eliminate what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
The latest operations highlight the continuation of intelligence-based counterterrorism efforts in Balochistan as security forces maintain pressure on militant networks operating in the province.
