Security forces killed nine terrorists during intelligence-based operations across Balochistan, Radio Pakistan reported Tuesday. The operations targeted terrorist hideouts in Ziarat, Harnai and Sohrab districts.
Security sources said the operations continued under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3. The campaign focuses on intelligence-driven actions against terrorist groups operating across the province.
Officials said security forces launched a major operation in the mountainous region between Ziarat and Harnai. Intelligence indicated terrorists were present inside a hideout in the area.
Forces Target Terrorist Hideout In Ziarat
Security forces surrounded the hideout and successfully targeted the militants. As a result, eight terrorists were killed during the operation.
The forces also destroyed the hideout during the action. Meanwhile, another operation took place in Hajika village, Sohrab district.
Security personnel established a cordon between Dasht Kitai and Hajika. They tracked terrorist movements before launching the operation.
Consequently, the forces killed another terrorist during the separate action. Officials said the operations followed detailed intelligence about terrorist activity.
Weapons Recovered During Balochistan Operations
Security sources said forces recovered ammunition, magazines and hand grenades from the slain terrorists. They also recovered a walkie-talkie, motorcycle and other equipment.
The federal government has designated terrorist groups operating in Balochistan as Fitna al-Hindustan. It has accused these groups of conducting a proxy war with Indian support.
Meanwhile, authorities use Fitna al-Khawarij as the state-designated term for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Security forces continue targeting militant networks through intelligence-based operations.
The military has described Radd-ul-Fitna-3 as a counterterrorism campaign. Authorities say the campaign aims to eliminate terrorist threats and restore lasting peace.
Security forces remain committed to continuing operations across Balochistan. Officials say they will continue efforts until terrorism is eliminated.
