Military Conducts Intelligence-Based Operations in Datta Khel
Security forces killed 11 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted in the Datta Khel area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwaโs North Waziristan district over the past 48 hours, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the militaryโs media wing.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security personnel targeted multiple locations during coordinated operations after receiving intelligence regarding militant activity in the area.
The military stated that security forces engaged suspected positions, leading to intense exchanges of fire during the operation.
Consequently, officials said the operations resulted in the killing of 11 militants.
The statement further noted that authorities recovered weapons and ammunition during the operation. According to officials, the individuals killed had allegedly been involved in previous militant activities in the region.
Meanwhile, security forces continued efforts to locate and clear any remaining threats in surrounding areas.
Additionally, officials said sanitisation operations remained underway following the initial action.
