Security forces have conducted successful intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, eliminating 32 militants during separate encounters. The operations targeted militant hideouts and aimed to strengthen security across the affected regions.
According to the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out overnight between July 28 and 29. The forces conducted multiple operations in Khyber district, resulting in the elimination of 24 militants.
Meanwhile, another operation in Balochistan’s Nushki district led to the killing of eight militants. The coordinated actions reflected continued efforts by security forces to counter militant activities in different parts of the country.
Joint Operations Target Militant Networks
The ISPR stated that security forces carried out “comprehensive joint operations” in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. These operations focused on dismantling the networks linked to the “terrorists nexus of India-sponsored Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan”.
During the operations, security personnel effectively targeted militant hideouts. Furthermore, forces recovered a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the militants.
The military’s media wing confirmed that all recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were later destroyed. The action prevented the possible misuse of these resources and reduced security threats in the targeted areas.
Security Forces Continue Counter-Terrorism Campaign
The security forces have continued intelligence-driven operations as part of broader counter-terrorism efforts across Pakistan. These operations aim to identify and eliminate militant elements involved in activities against national security.
The ISPR said, “Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other India-sponsored terrorist found in the area. Relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision ‘Azm-i-Istehkam’ (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.”
Moreover, authorities stated that security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to maintaining stability and protecting citizens. The continued operations under the Azm-i-Istehkam initiative demonstrate ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and improve security nationwide.
