Pakistan Cricket Board Announces Refund Process for Washed Out PSL Matches

Following the complete washout of Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in Rawalpindi on Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued an update regarding the refund process for ticket holders.

For those who purchased tickets through Express Centres, the refund process will commence on Tuesday, 12 March. Ticket buyers can apply for refunds at designated centres, with details to be posted on both the corporate and event websites during the week. To facilitate the refund process, ticket buyers must present the original CNICs used for ticket purchase along with physical tickets.

Similarly, individuals who purchased tickets online will also begin the refund process on Tuesday, 12 March. Reimbursements will be credited directly into the buyers’ booking bank accounts for added convenience.

However, for tickets purchased through corporate transactions, refunds will only be issued to the corporate entity. The PCB emphasizes that individual refund requests for corporate purchases will not be entertained to prevent duplication in credited amounts.

The refund process adheres to Clause 2.1 of the Ticket Refund Policy, where the PCB guarantees a full refund of the ticket value for matches canceled due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances prior to the toss. This clause ensures that ticket holders receive fair compensation in such instances.

According to Clause 3.3 of the policy, refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receiving a valid refund request. The PCB aims to streamline the refund process and ensure timely reimbursements for affected ticket holders.

The announcement underscores the PCB’s commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction, prioritizing the interests of cricket fans who were unable to witness the scheduled matches due to inclement weather. As the PSL progresses, the PCB remains dedicated to providing a seamless experience for cricket enthusiasts across the country.
