DEWA Authority has introduced a cutting-edge smart application, specifically designed for the Apple Vision Pro platform

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has pioneered the utilities sector by introducing their smart app on Apple Vision Pro glasses. This innovative application merges augmented and virtual reality, making DEWA the first to offer its services through this groundbreaking technology.

DEWA is leveraging the diverse functionalities of Apple Vision Pro to improve customer service experiences. This initiative aligns with DEWA’s goal of promoting smart adoption and making their services accessible to all customers via multiple digital platforms.

Via Apple Vision Pro, DEWA offers numerous services and features. Users can access the app via the UAE Pass, a username and password, or through eyeprint authentication for enhanced security.

The app allows customers to identify their primary account and choose which account to inquire about, while visual data can be viewed using the virtual touch and drag feature.

Furthermore, the user can examine their bill information and make payments using Apple Pay. They can also access the Smart Living dashboard, view annual, monthly, and daily consumption reports in comparison to similar homes through the My Sustainable Living Programme.

The smart app offers personalized insights on energy consumption and tailored suggestions for enhancing efficiency for each customer.

We operate in accordance with the forward-thinking vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, who emphasizes a proactive smart government that reaches the people instead of waiting for them to approach it.

Additionally, we adhere to the guidance of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, who aims to transform the Dubai government into an advanced, fully smart model.

In order to maintain our dedication to progress, we consistently adapt to the fast-paced technological advancements. This allows us to offer cutting-edge, secure, and forward-thinking services that are accessible 24/7 via diverse platforms, catering to all customers’ needs. These services enable seamless, convenient transactions at any time and place, ultimately saving time, effort, and enhancing their overall happiness.

We employ cutting-edge technologies from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as generative AI and metaverse, to enhance our services. DEWA’s state-of-the-art digital infrastructure has significantly boosted the smart adoption rate of its offerings to 99.2%, as stated by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the MD and CEO of DEWA.

In 2023, DEWA’s customers completed approximately 12.5 million digital transactions, marking a 25% growth from the 10 million transactions in 2022. This significant increase demonstrates DEWA’s commitment to the wise leadership’s goal of transforming Dubai into the world’s smartest and happiest city.

Among these transactions, customers utilized DEWA’s website for over 2.1 million interactions, the smart app for 3.2 million, and various digital channels in partnership with 6.8 million transactions.
