Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikander Hayat confirmed that schools will remain closed until August 24. Consequently, both public and private institutions must follow the official summer vacation schedule.
The minister clarified that no school will receive permission to reopen before the announced date. Moreover, authorities will ensure compliance with the government’s academic calendar.
Remedial Learning Camps Continue
Rana Sikander said the government has allocated one month for remedial learning camps. These camps aim to help students recover learning losses during the summer break.
Furthermore, the initiative focuses on improving students’ academic performance before the new term begins. Education officials believe the programme will strengthen classroom readiness.
Punjab Schools To Reopen On Schedule
According to the current schedule, schools across Punjab will reopen on August 24. Meanwhile, the education department has directed institutions to prepare for the new academic session.
The minister urged schools to complete all necessary arrangements before reopening. Additionally, he reiterated that no institution would be allowed to resume classes ahead of the official date.
