The Saudi cabinet has called for resolving the Iran-US war through negotiations, stressing that dialogue remains the only path to ending the conflict.
The cabinet made the appeal during a meeting chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Moreover, ministers emphasised the importance of reducing regional tensions and promoting stability across the Middle East.
According to Saudi media, the cabinet described negotiations as essential for ending the ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States. It also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring regional peace.
Meanwhile, the cabinet welcomed what it called the historic agreement to end hostilities in Gaza. It praised the mediation efforts of Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, the United States and other countries that helped facilitate the ceasefire agreement.
Furthermore, ministers expressed hope that the Gaza agreement would contribute to broader regional stability and encourage further diplomatic engagement.
The cabinet also welcomed the establishment of the Saudi-led multinational maritime defence alliance. According to Saudi media, the initiative aims to strengthen regional security and protect vital international shipping routes.
In addition, Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding maritime navigation in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.
The latest statements reflect the kingdom’s continued support for diplomacy while seeking greater security and stability across the region.
