Saudi Arabia has unveiled the first vehicles from its homegrown automotive brand, Ceer. The company has introduced two premium electric vehicles.
The EXOBOT sedan and SUV feature a futuristic design inspired by science-fiction vehicles. Both models use upward-opening gullwing doors and have no traditional pillars between the front and rear doors.
Ceer expects to launch the two electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia in early 2027.
Ceer Targets Saudi Arabia’s Growing Auto Industry
Saudi Arabia created Ceer in 2022 through a partnership between the Public Investment Fund and Taiwan-based Foxconn.
The company aims to build a domestic automotive industry. Ceer will manufacture the new vehicles at its facility in King Abdullah Economic City.
Several international companies support the project. Foxconn developed the vehicles’ electrical systems, while BMW provided engineering support.
Suppliers from the United States, Germany, South Korea and China have also established factories in Saudi Arabia.
Five More Models Planned by 2030
The EXOBOT models represent the start of Ceer’s planned vehicle lineup. The company expects to launch five more models between 2028 and 2030.
Ceer also plans to expand into other Middle Eastern and North African markets.
However, the company will not focus only on fully electric vehicles. Its future lineup will include plug-in hybrids and conventional combustion-engine vehicles.
The strategy reflects changing consumer demand and the evolving electric vehicle market.
