ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s electric vehicle market is gaining momentum with rapidly growing sales. This trend has accelerated the country’s transition toward cleaner transportation.
The sale of electric vehicles witnessed a bumper growth of over 257% between FY2024-25 and FY2025-26. In number, the sale of EVs surged from 1,839 to 6,560 units during the above-quoted period. BYD, MG, Kia, Hyundai, Deepal, and Chery Master are the famous names in the electric vehicles market in Pakistan.
The shift could also reduce pressure on the country’s fuel imports. Pakistan’s petroleum import bill reached $16.86 billion in FY2025-26.
Global expertise meets local strength
Against this backdrop, Chery Q combines Chery’s global automotive expertise with Master Group’s established automotive and industrial capabilities in Pakistan.
Chery has remained China’s top automobile exporter for 23 consecutive years. It now operates across more than 130 countries and serves over 20 million customers globally.
Meanwhile, Chery Master has established 14 3S dealerships across eight cities within 10 months. The company plans to expand to 20 dealerships across 12 cities.
Master Group brings more than 60 years of industrial experience and over four decades of automotive expertise to the partnership.
The group’s Master Yutong business holds around 80% of Pakistan’s bus market. Additionally, Procon Engineering components feature in about 15% of locally assembled vehicles.
Building a new mobility experience
Furthermore, Master Group’s joint venture with Changan has quickly become Pakistan’s fourth-largest automobile brand. Together, Chery and Master aim to combine global technology with local manufacturing, localization and operational capabilities.
The Chery Q focuses on electric mobility while offering space, technology, safety, comfort and value for Pakistani consumers. As EV adoption expands, the company is positioning its latest offering as part of Pakistan’s emerging new generation of mobility.
