A notorious ice dealer was killed during an encounter with Crime Control Department (CCD) personnel in Faisalabad. The operation also led to the seizure of what was described as Punjab’s largest drug consignment.
Circle Officer Siddique Cheema recovered the major drug haul during the operation. The CCD team raided the house of Looms Factory owner Tayyab Yousuf in Khayaban Garden.
However, Tayyab fled the scene before the search began. During the search, CCD personnel recovered several types of drugs from the house.
The seized drugs were valued at around Rs250 million. The haul included 34 kilograms of ice, 20 kilograms of opium and 14 kilograms of hashish.
CCD Tracks Down Suspected Drug Dealer
After Tayyab escaped from the house, the CCD team continued searching for him. Inspector Siddique Cheema later encountered Tayyab near Topal Dengro.
The encounter turned into an exchange of fire between Tayyab and CCD personnel. Tayyab was killed during the exchange of fire.
Meanwhile, his three alleged accomplices managed to escape from the scene. The operation resulted in both the recovery of the large drug consignment and the death of the suspected dealer.
Drug Supply Network Allegedly Used 40 Girls
According to the information provided, Tayyab had established a network involving 40 girls to supply drugs. The deceased accused allegedly used the network to distribute drugs to educational institutions across Punjab.
The girls reportedly played a role in supplying drugs through this network. The allegation adds another dimension to the investigation into Tayyab’s activities.

Brother Wanted in Drug Supply Case
Tayyab’s brother Waqas is also an absconder in a drug supply case. According to the supplied information, Waqas has remained wanted in the case for two years.
The latest operation has therefore brought further attention to the alleged drug supply network linked to the family. The CCD recovered 34 kilograms of ice, along with opium and hashish, during the operation.
Meanwhile, investigators are dealing with the escape of Tayyab’s three alleged accomplices. The operation also resulted in the seizure of drugs valued at Rs250 million.
The recovery has been described as the largest consignment of the drug seized in Punjab’s history.
