Two young children were killed in an alleged stabbing incident in Quetta’s Gorak Bypass area, police said.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Hanna Police Station.
Police said the children’s mother allegedly attacked them with a knife. The victims were identified as one-year-old Naimatullah and 20-day-old Hamida.
Both children suffered fatal injuries and died in the incident. Police said the woman also sustained injuries during the incident. She was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical treatment. The bodies of the children were also taken to the hospital.
Hanna Police reached the scene after receiving information about the incident.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and establish what led to the alleged stabbing.
