Qatar said its mediation team has spent two weeks exchanging proposals to revive negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said Qatar remained engaged with both Washington and Tehran, according to Qatari media.
“We have been exchanging various ideas for nearly two weeks on resuming talks between Washington and Tehran,” al-Ansari said.
Qatar and Pakistan have been mediating between the two sides as tensions continue to threaten regional stability and global energy supplies.
Al-Ansari said Qatari mediators were moving between capitals while seeking progress toward renewed negotiations.
He added that Qatari officials had received assurances from the US administration that Washington wanted to reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, al-Ansari called for a regional solution that could restore stability and protect international waterways, including the Strait of Hormuz.
He warned that using major waterways as political or military tools could create a dangerous precedent.
The latest mediation efforts follow a deadlock over navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy shipments.
The United States recently launched military strikes against targets in Iran amid the continuing dispute over the waterway.
Iran responded by attacking locations it identified as US military facilities and equipment in several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia.
Some attacks caused civilian casualties and damaged civilian infrastructure, prompting affected countries to condemn the strikes.
The latest developments came after a US State Department security alert warned that tensions had created a complex regional security environment.
The department urged US citizens in the region to exercise caution and advised others to reconsider travel through the area.
Several US embassies, including those in the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and Jordan, issued similar warnings.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said Washington was considering several options while demanding that Tehran change its approach.
Qatar has continued diplomatic efforts despite the ongoing military escalation and uncertainty surrounding future negotiations.
