LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has released details of designated Provincial Vehicle Inspection and Certification System centres where motorists can obtain mandatory vehicle fitness certificates ahead of an October 15 enforcement deadline.
The authority has urged vehicle owners to complete the certification process at their nearest PVICS facility without delay. From October 15, authorities will initiate legal action against vehicles operating without valid fitness certificates and could impose heavy fines and other penalties.
Several inspection centres are operating across Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad.
Multiple Fitness Centres Available Across Lahore
In Lahore, motorists can visit Auto Aeon facilities in Valencia, Chuburji, Zaib Center and Begampura.
Moreover, additional PVICS facilities include Bosch Longsight Motors, AutoSure, Autoserai on Raiwind Road and AutoSure PSO on PIA Road.
The network aims to provide motorists with multiple locations for completing vehicle inspections and securing the required certification before enforcement begins.
Facilities Available in Faisalabad and Southern Punjab
Meanwhile, Faisalabad has two Auto Mechanix inspection centres, with facilities operating at Iqbal Stadium and West Canal.
Vehicle owners in Multan can obtain certification from the designated Auto Aeon facility.
Furthermore, motorists in southern Punjab can use Bosch Longsight Motors centres in Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad.
The Provincial Transport Authority has advised motorists to avoid waiting until the deadline and complete inspections early to prevent possible inconvenience as enforcement approaches.
Consequently, vehicle owners who continue operating without valid fitness certification after October 15 could face legal proceedings, fines and penalties.
The certification drive forms part of Punjab authorities’ efforts to ensure vehicles operating on provincial roads meet prescribed fitness requirements and comply with transport regulations.
