The Punjab government has introduced a new facility for people applying for learner’s driving licenses. Under the latest initiative, applicants can now obtain a learner’s driving license from 15 Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) service centers across the province.
The new service aims to make the licensing process more convenient and accessible. As a result, citizens can complete their applications without visiting traditional licensing offices.
Learner’s Licenses Issued on the Spot
According to the new arrangement, eligible applicants will receive their learner’s driving license on the spot. Moreover, the learner’s license will remain valid for six months.
During this period, new drivers can practice driving legally and develop their driving skills before applying for a permanent driving license. Consequently, the initiative is expected to help aspiring drivers gain confidence while following legal requirements.
PITB Service Centers Offer Easier Access
The facility has been launched at 15 PITB service centers across Punjab. Therefore, applicants now have an additional option for obtaining their learner’s license.
The service is part of the government’s efforts to improve public service delivery by providing citizens with more accessible and efficient facilities.
Service Center Timings
The PITB service centers operate during regular business hours.
Applicants can visit the centers from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM to apply for a learner’s driving license.
