Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to launch the next phase of its political movement. The party says it will unveil its future strategy during a public rally in Peshawar on August 5.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information and Public Relations Minister Shafi Jan made the announcement while addressing political gatherings in Kohat. He spoke during events held alongside Aleema Khan’s visit and at several corner meetings across the district.
According to Shafi Jan, PTI exhausted every constitutional, legal and democratic avenue to secure the release of party founder Imran Khan. However, he claimed those efforts failed to achieve the desired outcome.

Shafi Jan said the party would now continue its movement through peaceful public mobilisation. Therefore, the next phase will focus on gaining support from citizens across the country.
He said PTI would present its future plan of action during the scheduled Peshawar gathering. Furthermore, he described the rally as an important step in the party’s political campaign.
The minister also claimed that three years had passed since Imran Khan’s arrest. According to him, the former prime minister has been denied justice, proper medical facilities and basic human rights.
PTI Reiterates Call For Imran Khan’s Release
Shafi Jan argued that the continued detention of an elected former prime minister raises concerns about the rule of law and human rights. He maintained that PTI pursued legal and constitutional channels before deciding to expand its political campaign.
“We approached the courts and adopted every constitutional and legal path, but justice was not delivered. Now the people will decide,” he said.
Meanwhile, PTI leaders continue preparing for the August 5 rally in Peshawar, where the party is expected to formally announce its next political strategy. The gathering is likely to outline future plans and the party’s approach to its ongoing campaign.
