Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has clarified that Noreen Niazi’s recent remarks do not represent the party’s official position. Party leaders said she expressed her personal views, and the public should not link them to PTI’s policies.
The leadership also addressed the activities of Imran Khan’s family. It said every public action by family members reflects their personal decisions. Therefore, the party should not be held responsible for those activities.
PTI leaders also commented on Aleema Khan’s recent public outreach. They said she is conducting her street movement independently and not on behalf of the party.
PTI Continues Discussions on Future Strategy
The party confirmed that internal consultations on its future protest plan are still underway. However, leaders have not reached a final decision.
PTI leaders said they would seek the views of Imran Khan’s family before announcing the strategy. Even so, the party leadership will make the final political decisions.
They also spoke about talks with the government. According to party leaders, negotiations have not produced any meaningful progress so far.
NCCIA Summons Noreen Niazi
Noreen Niazi recently drew attention after appearing on a podcast. During the discussion, she made remarks about “Marka-e-Haq,” the Pakistan Army, and Pakistan’s alleged backdoor relations with Israel.
After the podcast, the National Cyber Crimes Investigation Agency (NCCIA) issued her a notice. The agency directed her to appear before its Cyber Crime Reporting Center in Islamabad on July 20 to record her statement.
According to the notice, “Noreen Niazi made inflammatory, false, and insulting statements on social media.” It further stated that her remarks aimed to defame state institutions and spread what authorities described as a false narrative.
Meanwhile, lawyer Faisal Malik appeared before the NCCIA in connection with the case.
The matter continues to attract political attention. However, PTI has repeatedly stated that Noreen Niazi’s remarks remain her personal opinion and do not represent the party’s official policy.
