Lowther-Pinkerton has long been close to the royal family.
He previously served as private secretary to Prince William and Prince Harry for nine years.
He later became a trusted family friend and was chosen as one of Prince George’s godparents.

Eton Chapter Marks Major Step for Prince George
Prince George’s expected move to Eton College is being viewed as a significant milestone in his royal upbringing.
The school has historic links with the royal family.
Prince William and Prince Harry both studied there.
