Global pop superstar Rihanna has revealed that she has at least 170 unreleased songs stored away, sparking fresh excitement among fans awaiting her long-delayed ninth studio album.
The singer shared the revelation during a TikTok livestream for her beauty brand, Fenty Beauty, on October 7, 2026. While discussing the brand’s Gloss Bomb Vault collection, she used its products to describe the size of her unreleased music catalogue.
“If there are 10 products in a vault, then I have at least 17 vaults,” Rihanna said, suggesting that her music collection could contain around 170 songs or more.
Although she did not confirm the exact number of completed tracks, her remarks quickly generated excitement among fans eager for new music.
Rihanna’s last studio album, *ANTI*, was released in January 2016. Since then, she has focused significantly on expanding her business ventures while occasionally returning to music.
Her releases during this period include “Lift Me Up,” featured in *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever* in 2022, and “Friend of Mine,” which appeared on the *Smurfs* soundtrack in 2025.
Meanwhile, her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, revealed in August that Rihanna had returned to the recording studio and was actively working on new material.
The singer has also previously indicated that her next album would reflect her artistic growth rather than follow conventional commercial expectations.
Despite mounting anticipation, Rihanna has not announced an official release date or tracklist for her upcoming project, widely referred to by fans as R9. Her latest comments have nevertheless renewed hopes that new music could eventually reach audiences.
