The final round of Pakistani politics has begun, and the month of November is going to be crucial according to Sheikh Rashid, the head of the Awami Muslim League Pakistan (AMLP).
He said on Twitter that the government will select the election date in the same way that it selected the Minister of Law and Justice’s resignation.
He criticised the existing government and said that the “beggars” would not receive any money.
Rashid claimed that the entire country was criticising PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif and Vice-Chairwoman Maryam Nawaz for celebrating Dewali while the rest of the country was lamenting the passing of veteran journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif.
The former interior minister continued by saying that Imran Khan will lead the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march, which will start from Liberty Market in Lahore. He asserted that everyone has the right to peaceful protest.
Rashid warned Rana Sanaullah, the interior minister, that if he used force to stop the march, he would lose the opportunity to run.
At 2:00 pm on Thursday, he stated, funeral prayers for Shaheed (Arshad Sharif) would be held in the Faisal Mosque. He said that on Friday, people in Lahore’s Liberty Chowk would take to the streets under Imran Khan’s leadership to fight against “tyrant thieves.”
Sheikh Rashid asserted that conducting peaceful protests was everyone’s constitutionally guaranteed right and that Rana Sanaullah, who dared not go to the airport, would not have the opportunity to flee if he attempted to use force [against the Long March].
