Sindh Welcomes New Era as 9-Member Cabinet Takes Oath of Office

KARACHI: In a momentous event heralding a new chapter in Sindh’s governance, a 9-member provincial cabinet has officially assumed their duties, taking the oath of office in a ceremonious affair hosted at the prestigious Sindh Governor House in Karachi.

Under the dignified auspices of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, the swearing-in ceremony saw the esteemed presence of high-ranking officials, including the incumbent Sindh Chief Minister, Murad Ali Shah, who graced the occasion with his attendance.

The newly-inducted ministers, a diverse and seasoned cohort, embodying a wealth of experience and dedication, comprise a lineup featuring familiar faces from the previous administration, albeit with a reconfigured allocation of responsibilities.

Among the notable appointments, Sharjeel Inam Memon assumes the mantle of minister for transport, mass transit, excise, taxation, and narcotics, as disclosed by a spokesperson from the CM House. Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho is entrusted with the pivotal role of overseeing health and population welfare initiatives, while Syed Nasir Hussain Shah shoulders the weighty portfolios of energy, planning, and development ministries.
