Shehbaz Departs for Saudi Arabia, Accompanied by a Prominent Delegation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with a top-tier delegation, has left Lahore for an official trip to Saudi Arabia.

A group consisting of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, federal ministers Ishaq Dar, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Aleem Khan, Attaullah Tarar, and Ahad Cheema, along with senior Finance Ministry officials, is on a visit to Saudi Arabia until April 8th.

This marks Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s first international trip since taking office. During this visit, both Prime Minister Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will be traveling to Saudi Arabia for the purpose of performing Umrah.

The delegation, led by Prime Minister Sharif, left from Allama Iqbal International Airport on a commercial flight. Upon reaching Saudi Arabia, they plan to perform Umrah and engage in significant talks with Saudi officials, including Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

In these discussions, they will explore and emphasize the importance of the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia by focusing on their bilateral relations and potential investment opportunities.

Prime Minister Sharif and his accompanying group will spend the night in Madina prior to commencing their official duties in Saudi Arabia.

On a recent Friday, the Foreign Office declared that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia from April 6th to 8th. This trip will mark his first overseas journey since his election as the prime minister.

During his visit, he plans to undertake Umrah and offer prayers at Masjid-e-Nabawi. Furthermore, the Foreign Office spokesperson mentioned that Prime Minister Sharif is anticipated to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which they will discuss matters of mutual concern and importance.

The two leaders will engage in talks regarding regional and worldwide advancements, as stated by the FO. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a deep, fraternal bond. Both countries’ leadership is dedicated to fostering mutually advantageous economic and investment ties, according to the spokesperson.
