Rana Sanaullah Will be arrested if he enters Punjab: Sarfaraz Cheema

Rana Sanaullah Khan, the federal interior minister, will be arrested immediately if he enters Punjab, according to Omar Sarfraz Cheema, the chief minister of Punjab’s interior advisor.

The advisor said in a statement that Rana Sanaullah’s non-bailable warrant had been acquired by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab. The arrest request is valid until October 19.

Additionally, he gave the Inspector General of Punjab Police instructions to help the ACE Punjab arrest Rana Sanaullah. He gave the order for Rana to be arrested in accordance with the law.

Rana Sanaullah has been found guilty in the corruption case against him, according to Brigadier (ret.) Musaddiq Abbasi, the Punjab CM’s anti-corruption advisor.

He said that Rana Sanaullah accepted two plots as a “bribe” from the Bismillah Housing Scheme, an “illegal housing society,” in the Chakwal district.

Abbasi claimed that Rana Sanaullah was the target of the ACE’s 2017 land acquisition investigation. He claimed that the owner of the housing association offered two plots totaling 10 kanals as payment for his influence. He stated that the plots were given to the minister for a lot less money than originally planned. The minister and his wife are still in ownership of the plots, he continued.

He noted the probe also found that the records for plots 18A and 139A were missing.

On October 8, the PTI said on its official Twitter account that a non-bailable arrest warrant had been issued for Rana Sanaullah and a police party had left to arrest him.

In response to the non-bailable arrest order, the federal interior minister declared on October 10 that he had chosen to file a lawsuit against ACE Punjab for falsifying the records of a four-year-old case. He claimed that the ACE misled the court to obtain the warrant. According to the spokesperson for the interior ministry, ACE Punjab is not giving the Islamabad Police the case files along with the warrant.

According to an ACE Punjab official, the PML-N leader’s arrest warrant was issued after he failed to show up for an investigation.
