On Wednesday, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) received a plea to arrest Maryam Nawaz, the Vice President of PML-N.
Aliya Hamza, Parliamentary Secretary for Commerce, Industries and Production, filed a plea on behalf of Bushra Bibi, alleging that Bushra Bibi has nothing to do with politics and Maryam Nawaz has committed a crime for speaking in favour of Sabir Hashmi.
As per Aliya Hamza, Maryam Nawaz has “character assassinated” Bushra Bibi. She claimed that PML-N allegedly has been involved in assassinating people’s personalities, for decades, including Benazir Bhutto’s.
Maryam reacted to Bushra Bibi’s petition against her. She said: “It is not appropriate for people to be put in jail because they talk against you [Imran Khan].”
Maryam Nawaz stated that her mother in the ICU and the Opposition’s sisters and daughters deserved the same respect as PM’s wife.
“Your days remind me of Pervez Musharraf’s deteriorating times,” Maryam said, referring to Imran Khan, adding that Imran Khan had been involved in corrupt politics and had encouraged his foolish ministers in the past.
Maryam Nawaz slammed Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying, “No amount of state power can save you since the time has turned against you.”
The FIA arrested Sabir Hashmi, an anti-PM campaigner, for running indecent trends.
Suspected of indecent trending against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained the suspect on Monday. The agency has confiscated Hashmi’s phone and other personal property because of his arrest.
PM Khan: Cheap and Intolerable Act
It was during a meeting of the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) earlier that Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his disgust with the immoral trend of personal assaults.
The prime minister criticised the incident, calling it “cheap and unacceptable,” and said that “such individuals must be checked and their acts must be punished.”
