PTI Issues Show Cause Notice to Saifullah Abro over Bilawal Support

Show Cause Notice

On Friday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took disciplinary action by issuing a show cause notice to Senator Saifullah Abro, who recently withdrew from the NA-194 race in favor of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari just ahead of the February 8 elections.

Saifullah Abro, confirming the issuance of the notice, stated that he made the decision to withdraw from the constituency after a meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday. This notice alleges that Senator Saifullah Abro violated party discipline by withdrawing from the PTI ticket for the upcoming general elections.

According to the notice, Saifullah Abro is now obligated to provide an explanatory statement to the party within three days to address the accusations of breaching party discipline and withdrawing support for the party’s candidate in NA-194.

The notice also serves as a warning, cautioning Saifullah Abro of potential further action in case of non-compliance with the party’s directives. The PTI’s move indicates a strong stance on maintaining party discipline and loyalty, especially during the critical period leading up to the general elections.

The issuance of this notice signifies the party’s commitment to addressing internal issues promptly and underscores the importance of adherence to party directives. The outcome of this disciplinary action will likely impact Saifullah Abro’s standing within the party and may influence the dynamics of the electoral race in NA-194.
