President Dr Arif Alvi has convened a joint session of Parliament at 4 p.m. today under Article 54 (1) of the Constitution (Thursday).
Both the National Assembly and the Senate will send representatives to the joint session of parliament.
The Secretariat of the National Assembly announced the combined session’s agenda. The current state of the country’s economy, as well as global security and economic conditions, will be the subject of discussion during the joint session.
In order to get approval from both chambers of Parliament, the administration may have to make painful decisions to release the IMF funding.
