Faisal Karim Kundi, PPP Secretary Information, announced that the party will celebrate its foundation day in Quetta, Balochistan. He stated that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the PPP’s candidate for the post of the next prime minister, expressing confidence in forming the next government with the support of allies.
Kundi mentioned that PPP will contest the upcoming general elections in February on its manifesto and will consider forming alliances with other parties afterward.
Taking a dig at their former ally, PML-N, Kundi criticized their claim of winning 120 seats in the National Assembly, citing their limited success in the previous by-elections in Punjab.
Kundi alleged that PML-N has a history of bringing institutions into politics and accused them of creating an impression that institutions are siding with them to generate criticism from other parties. He claimed that this tactic aims to portray PML-N as the “selected” party.
Furthermore, Kundi asserted that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, despite his “vote ko izzat do” (respect the vote) slogan, has left that sentiment at Avenfield House in London and is now attempting to become the favored figure of institutions.
