PML-N Ministers
ISLAMABAD: Important federal ministers belonging to the PML-N have supported Ishaq Dar as the caretaker prime minister as their party supremo Nawaz Sharif finalized his name.
On Monday, federal ministers Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Javed Latif, and others supported finance minister Ishaq Dar as PML-N’s candidate for the caretaker prime minister slot.

Meanwhile, PML-N and PPP top leaders are holding another round of meetings in Dubai today to short-list names of the caretaker PM and the cabinet members.
The PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will hold meetings along with their important leaders.
Earlier, the coalition government decided to dissolve the National Assembly on August 8.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will send a request to President Alvi to dissolve the Parliament. If President does not sign the summary, the National Assembly will dissolve automatically 48 hours after the PM’s recommendation.
Dar on way to become caretaker PM
Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) considered Ishaq Dar as a potential caretaker prime minister. Dar is considered a close ally and relative (Samdhee) of former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
Currently, PML-N is discussing with its allies to evolve a consensus on the appointment of the caretaker PM.
Furthermore, prominent allies involved in the talks include the PPP, JUI-F, and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P).
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal stated that if the allies agree, Dar could assume the role of caretaker PM.
Meanwhile, PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair highlighted several critical economic decisions made in the past few weeks.
Zubair emphasized the need for stability and consistency in economic policies. He asserted that under the current circumstances, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar should become the prime minister in the caretaker setup
