ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended assurances that the justified demands of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province would receive due attention, balancing them with the nation’s current financial constraints. These commitments surfaced during a cordial meeting with KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who paid a visit to the Prime Minister’s House.
Warmly greeting Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Prime Minister emphasized the integral role played by each of the four provinces in fostering national progress and development when they stand united.
During the deliberations, the Chief Minister meticulously briefed the Prime Minister on the administrative affairs of the province, a statement echoed by the PM Office Media Wing in a subsequent press release.
Attending the meeting were prominent figures including Minister for Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, and Minister for States and Frontier Regions Amir Muqam, alongside other senior officials of relevance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the necessity of collaborative dialogue to address lingering issues, reiterating the paramount importance placed on public welfare in their collective endeavors.
He reaffirmed the federal government’s unwavering commitment to fostering harmonious relationships with all provincial governments, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with a view to nurturing robust intergovernmental bonds.
In response, the Chief Minister reiterated the resolve of the provincial government to actively contribute to national development objectives, pledging sincere efforts and positive engagement towards this end.
