Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Quetta for a one-day visit aimed at evaluating the security situation in Balochistan and participating in a crucial high-level security meeting.
On Thursday, the Prime Minister will focus on assessing the region’s overall security landscape and will lead a meeting of the Apex Committee, which is tasked with coordinating security measures across the province.
The high-level meeting is set to include key figures such as the Army Chief, the heads of various intelligence agencies, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, and other provincial ministers.
The session will address the current security challenges and strategize on effective measures to enhance safety and stability in the region.
During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif will receive comprehensive briefings on the recent security developments in Balochistan.
He is also scheduled to hold individual meetings with both the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan to discuss the situation in detail and explore collaborative solutions.
This visit comes in response to a troubling series of terrorist attacks in Balochistan, which have resulted in nearly 50 fatalities, including military personnel.
The Prime Minister’s visit underscores the urgent need for a coordinated security response to address the rising violence and ensure the safety of the people in the province.
