Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Information Minister, called former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement hypocritical and full of lies, saying the PTI chief’s speech demonstrated that he had watched Nawaz Sharif’s interview.
“You [Imran] use the same mouth for slandering, accusing, lying, and saying holy names. “Do you have faith in God?” She questioned.
Marriyum’s statement follows Imran Khan’s speech, in which the former prime minister lamented the absence of law in Pakistan.
“Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any rules of law in Pakistan,” Imran Khan said, adding that the lack of rule of law exacerbates the situation.
Using Britain as an example, the PTI chief stated that even members of the royal family are not above the law.
“A traffic constable in England fined a prince, while the former British prime minister was expelled from office for failing to follow coronavirus protocols,” he said.
Marriyum responded by saying that if Imran Khan believes in the rule of law, he should first hand over Farah Gogi, Bushra Bibi, and himself to the law.
