Jahangir Tareen returns to Pakistan after seven months

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf leader, Jahangir Tareen returned to Pakistan along with his son Ali Tareen after seven months of being away in London. Claimed to have gone for medical treatment, allegations were rife regarding his involvement in the recent sugar subsidy case where JDW Mill has benefited approximately Rs. 200 billion monetarily in three years.

The JDW Sugar Mills is a corporation comprising of three units, of which two are located in Rahim Yar Khan whilst one is situated in Ghotki. 17% of the country’s sugar produce is accounted for by the JDW Sugar Mills.

Upon his return, it is hoped that legal proceedings will continue such that the perpetrators of the sugar controversy can be put to task.
