In a media interaction after participating in the “Second National Training of Journalists on China-Pakistan Relationship in the New Era,” Solangi emphasized that in accordance with the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the governance of the country will be in the hands of elected representatives.

The Election Commission, holding exclusive authority over election dates, has definitively confirmed that the general elections are set for February 8, 2024.

Solangi stressed that the election date remains unchanged, leaving no room for doubt. Responding to a query, he clarified that extending the tenure of the caretaker government is not feasible in accordance with constitutional provisions.

Highlighting the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China as steadfast, all-weather allies, he expressed confidence that bilateral relations between the two nations will flourish under the caretaker government.

Referring to the recent visit of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Kakar to China, Solangi mentioned that the trip resulted in the signing of over 20 agreements across various sectors between the two countries. The future outlook for Pak-China relations appears promising.
