ISLAMABAD: According to PTI Secretary-General Asad Umar, Imran Khan would not return to the National Assembly despite winning the most recent by-elections, where he is predicted to win many seats.
As the election results came in, Umar spoke with journalists and said: “The election held today was a referendum. After winning, Imran Khan won’t attend the assembly again and won’t take the oath either.”
The senior PTI official stated, “Our only demand is to grant people the right to vote.”
The former federal minister claimed that all party employees are required to observe “Youm-e-Tashakur.”
Following the re-election of multiple seats in by-elections, the PTI secretary-general stated that decision-makers should recognise their error. “Is there any ambiguity in the minds of the decision-makers?” he inquired.
He expressed hope that those in power would make a decision that would not endanger the public.
He went on to say that the public was outraged by what they had gone through in the previous six months. People have rejected the “incompetent mafia” and the “market” set up in Sindh House, according to the PTI leader.
The people have recognised that Pakistan has reached a critical juncture, according to Umar, who added that the people have two options: join the war of “foreign countries” or make decisions based on national interests.
