Gandapur: Only PTI Founder Holds Authority on Islamabad Protest Decision

PTI Founder

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stands firm on his assertion regarding the possibility of staging a protest in Islamabad.

In his remarks to the media, CM Gandapur reiterated that only the PTI founder possesses the authority to make decisions regarding protests in the capital. He emphasized the party’s readiness to abide by whatever decision the founder makes in this regard.

CM Gandapur took a dig at the Sharif and Zardari families, accusing them of prioritizing their personal wealth over the country’s welfare. He suggested that they are currently grappling with financial concerns due to the country’s economic challenges.

Responding to queries about his brother’s election victory from the Dera Ismail Khan seat, CM Gandapur asserted that it was achieved on merit.

He clarified that no other candidate had applied for the seat, affirming that his brother’s success was not a result of hereditary politics but rather based on individual merit.

In a separate development, a district and session court in Islamabad deferred the indictment of Ali Amin Gandapur in an audio leak case.

Gandapur appeared in court for the hearing, where he was granted permission to leave the courtroom after registering his attendance. The court adjourned the case until May 25, postponing the indictment process.

Additionally, in another case related to PTI’s ‘Haqiqi Azadi March,’ a local court in Islamabad revoked the arrest warrants issued against Ali Amin Gandapur.

These legal proceedings and developments highlight the ongoing judicial scrutiny and political dynamics surrounding CM Gandapur, underscoring the complexities within the political landscape of Pakistan.
