Pakistan has welcomed Microsoft co-founder William Henry Gates, commonly known as Bill Gates, for a one-day visit, on Thursday, shared by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health (SAPM) Dr Faisal Sultan.
Gates is expected to meet with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi, as well as the National Command and Operation Centre headquarters, according to sources familiar with the plans.
An in-depth report on Pakistan’s polio eradication efforts was provided to the billionaire philanthropist and co-chairman of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, who has made significant contributions to the global effort to minimise polio.
Gates is also expected to make a stop at the COVID-19 treatment centre in Chak Shahzad before he leaves Pakistan at night, according to the sources.
