Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry posted his opinion over the expulsion of a girl and a boy from a private university in Lahore for openly proposing.
The federal minister has appealed to the university administration to reconsider the decision.

Fawad Chaudhry in his recent social media message said that marriage of choice is the basic right of every girl, the rights that Islam gives to women, marriage of choice is central to these rights.
He said that the university administration should reconsider its decision, considering girls as property is against Islam.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, a girl proposed to a boy on campus of a private university. After the video went viral, the administration expelled them from the university.
The private university administration expelled both the girl and the boy for proposing within the premises of varsity regarding it against the rules of the institute.
According to the notification, the university administration sought reply from the girl and the boy but they did not appear. The administration unilaterally expelled the two from the university.
