In a visit to the Pakistani Consulate in Dubai on Thursday, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi inaugurated several initiatives established as part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s plan to make life easier for Pakistanis living abroad.
Afzal Mahmood, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE; Hassan Afzal, Dubai’s Consul General; Gyan Chand, Deputy Consul General; and other Consulate officials greeted the Foreign Minister upon his arrival.
A wall of Roshan Digital Accounts was unveiled by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister at the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.
Providing information about Roshan Digital Accounts to the 30 to 35 thousand Pakistanis who visit the Consulate every month would benefit them as well as the state with this new effort.
The freshly built Consular Hall at the Consulate was also opened by the Foreign Minister.
For the convenience of the Pakistani community in Dubai, a new Consular Hall has been built.
The Foreign Minister also launched a One Window Passport Counter during his visit to the Consulate. The Foreign Minister also launched the Consulate’s Call Center.
For Pakistanis in Dubai, the opening of this contact centre means they may now receive and give forth information regularly. Every day, this contact centre can handle up to a thousand calls.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister welcomed OIC Foreign Ministers to attend CFM in Islamabad on November 22-23 next month through video message while visiting the OIC Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
