Twenty by-elections will be held in Punjab on July 17. At the moment, the government holds 175 seats and the opposition holds 173. To choose the Chief Minister, the winning party needs to win 186 seats.

PP-168
The next chief minister of Punjab will be chosen by the 20 by-elections, but the four by-elections in Lahore are very important for both the PML-N and the PTI. Workers for the PML-N look sure about the PP-168 elections.
PTI is also working hard to win the seat. They say that they’ll raise the flag of victory again since they won the 2018 elections in this constituency.
In the PP-168 by-election, there are nine candidates running for seats. Five of them are independent candidates. There are 151,484 people registered to vote in the constituency, so 96 polling places will be set up.
PP-167
During the campaigning for the by-election in Lahore, there was a fight between workers for the PML-N and the PTI. Both sides attacked and shot at each other. During this fight, six people were hurt.
During the campaign for the Lahore PP-167 by-election, people from the PML-N and the PTI ran into each other. The fight broke out in Johar Town near Allahu Chowk.
Nazir Chauhan, who used to be an MPA for the PTI and is now a PML-N candidate, said that his car was attacked when he was going home. The police say that Chauhan’s son was shot, and the guard was hurt by a baton. The son of Chauhan is now in the hospital.
On the other hand, Shabbir Gujjar, who is running for the PTI, said that Chauhan ran over workers who tried to stop him. Four workers and his son were hurt. The injured people were taken to Jinnah Hospital, and a report was made at the Johar Town police station.
