The Supreme Court has asked the former prime minister to appear before them on July 24 at 10:30 am.

During the hearing, a three-member bench headed by Justice Yahya Khan Afridi considered the plea of the former prime minister.

At the beginning of the hearing, Latif Khosa, the counsel of the PTI chairman, requested the court to stop the proceedings of the case.

Khosa argued before the apex court that the JIT constituted by the government was against the law of the land.

In response, Justice Yahya Afridi remarked that the accused should surrender himself before the court first.

Justice Afridi asked why the PTI chairman did not contact the relevant forum to quash the FIR in the case.
