A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was martyred and a police constable suffered injuries after unidentified attackers opened fire on a police vehicle in Balochistanโs Barkhan district on Tuesday.
Police officials said the attack occurred near the Khana checkpost, where armed assailants targeted the vehicle before escaping from the area. The sudden attack left one police officer dead and another injured.
The martyred officer was identified as DSP Murid Bugti. A police official who was travelling with him also sustained injuries during the firing.
