Police raid
DI Khan/ISLAMABAD: The police officials raided the house of PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan to arrest hi.
However, Gandapur was not present at home at that time.
The police have claimed that they found flood relief and coronavirus items during the raid. They have also recovered bags of slingshots and sticks.

Ali Amin Gandapur was released from Sukkur Central Jail in May on bail. In the same month, the Punjab government asked Rawalpindi police to arrest him in a criminal case. Police have registered the case in March this year against PTI leader.
Consequently, police raided his residence on Thursday night, but could not arrest him.
PTI leader Shehryar Afridi arrested again
Meanwhile, police again arrest PTI leader Sheheryar Afridi soon after his release from outside Adiala Jail on Thursday.
Also, Punjab police arrested his brother, Farrukh Jamal Afridi, along with him.
The Rawalpindi bench of the Lahore High Court ordered the release of the brothers from jail.
According to Afridi’s lawyer, Chaudhry Ishtiaq, police arrested Afridi despite he had obtained protective bail.
Imran Khan fears his disqualification
PTI chairman Imran Khan anticipates his disqualification in the Toshakhana case. He believed this after a district and sessions court declared four witnesses in the case as irrelevant.
However, Khan has approached the high court against the decision.
In a video statement Khan stated, “I am consistently being deprived of the right to a fair trial in the Toshakhana case, according to the Constitution. I am not even allowed to present witnesses in my defense.”
The district and sessions court called for final arguments from the parties on Thursday (today) regarding the gift case.
The court has asserted that it will reserve the decision if the parties fail to present their arguments.
The court has set Thursday, August 3, as the date for the final arguments from the parties and will reserve the decision if they fail to do so.
