Hot and dry weather is expected to continue across most parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). In addition, plain areas are likely to experience very hot conditions as temperatures remain elevated.
However, some northern and hilly regions may receive isolated rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms during the afternoon.
Heat to Persist in Islamabad and Surrounding Areas
The weather outlook indicates that Islamabad and nearby areas will remain hot and dry throughout the day. At the same time, skies are expected to stay partly cloudy.
Residents in the capital may experience continued daytime heat despite some cloud cover appearing during different parts of the day.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Remain Mostly Hot With Localised Rain
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to remain under hot and dry conditions.
Nevertheless, weather conditions may shift in selected upper areas during the afternoon. Isolated rain-wind and thunderstorm activity is expected in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Parachinar.
As a result, people living in these regions could witness temporary relief from the prevailing heat.
Punjab Faces Continued Heat With Chances of Afternoon Storms
Punjab is also likely to experience mainly hot and dry weather.
However, isolated rain-wind and thunderstorms may develop during afternoon hours in selected districts.
These areas include Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal and surrounding locations.
Although rainfall activity is expected to remain limited, changing conditions may briefly reduce temperatures in affected areas.
Sindh to Experience Very Hot Conditions
Weather conditions in Sindh are expected to remain predominantly hot and dry.
Moreover, upper and central districts may face very hot weather during the forecast period.
Coastal areas could also experience dust-raising gusty winds. Therefore, residents in these regions may notice reduced visibility and warmer conditions.
Balochistan to Remain Dry as Coastal Winds Increase
Most parts of Balochistan are forecast to remain hot and dry.
Central districts are expected to experience very hot conditions. Meanwhile, coastal regions may receive dust-raising winds during different periods of the day.
The forecast suggests limited changes in overall weather patterns across the province.
Conditions Expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
Partly cloudy weather with isolated rain-wind and thunderstorms is likely in Kashmir.
In contrast, Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to experience partly cloudy to dry weather conditions.
These northern regions may continue to see more moderate weather compared with the countryโs hotter plains.
