ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has instructed Speaker of the National Asad Qaiser to summon NA session on March 21.
PM Khan has given this instruction to NA Speaker in the backdrop of 24 PTI MNAs presence in Sindh House and their commitment to vote against PM Imran Khan in the no-confidence move.
Opposition parties in the PDM submitted a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan with the National Assembly secretariat on March 8.

Under the Constitution, the NA speaker has to summon session within 14 days of the requisition. If the speaker allows the motion to be tabled, then the debate needs to take place after three days and before seven days.
If the no-confidence motion gets a node on March 21, the debate will have to take place maximum by March 28, counting three days of holidays the federal capital on the account of OIC foreign ministers summit and Pakistan Day.
Out of 341 members in the National Assembly, the government has 179 MNAs, including allies while the opposition has 162 MNAs.
If 24 PTI MNAs and some of the PTI allies support no-confidence against PM, Opposition will be winner in this situation.
