Petrol will now cost Rs. 396.65 per litre. The previous price was Rs. 394.83 per litre.
High-speed diesel, however, has received a small reduction.
Its price has been cut by 91 paisas per litre. The new diesel price is Rs. 394.94 per litre, compared with the previous rate of Rs. 395.85.
The Petroleum Division said the latest adjustment was linked to changing conditions in international energy markets.
Officials cited movements in global Platts rates, premiums and other related costs as key factors behind the revision.
Fuel prices in Pakistan are closely connected to international oil trends and import costs.
Even small changes in petroleum rates can affect transport expenses, household budgets and business costs across the country.
The latest increase in petrol prices may place additional pressure on motorists who are already facing high fuel expenses.
At the same time, the slight diesel reduction could provide limited relief to transporters and sectors that depend heavily on diesel-powered vehicles.
The new prices will remain effective until the next official review unless the government announces another adjustment.
Consumers are expected to closely watch global oil prices and future government decisions as fuel costs continue to influence inflation and daily expenses.
