Gold prices moved higher in Pakistan on Monday, following another increase in international bullion prices. The latest rise has pushed the local gold rate higher after the market recorded a decline during the previous session.
Gold Price in Pakistan
The price of gold increased by Rs1,200 per tola during the day. As a result, the price reached Rs437,536 per tola in the local market.
Meanwhile, the price of 10-gram gold also recorded an increase. It rose by Rs1,029 to reach Rs375,116. The latest rates were shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The latest movement marks a reversal from Saturday’s session. At that time, gold fell by Rs4,300 per tola, bringing its price to Rs436,336.
International Gold Price Also Climbs
Gold also gained ground in the international market. The international price increased by $12 per ounce, reaching $4,150.
Therefore, the latest international increase has also coincided with the rise in Pakistan’s local gold prices. The movement highlights how changes in global bullion prices can reflect in the domestic market.
Silver Price Hits New Record
Silver also continued its upward movement in the local market. Its price increased by Rs66 per tola, reaching Rs6,588.
Importantly, the latest increase pushed silver to a new all-time high. This adds another notable development to the precious metals market alongside the rise in gold prices.
