The school was registered a few months ago, 2026. The officials the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority (KP-PSRA) inspected the school before its registration. The inspection team, did not involve, the construction experts during visit of the school to examine the standards and quality of the construction. Consequently, the roof of the private school collapsed this morning in Peshawar.

Iqbal explained that inspections should examine classrooms, building foundations and overall structural conditions. He added that construction experts were expected to assess school buildings and submit technical reports before authorities completed the registration process.
He stressed that responsibility for the incident would be determined after the inquiry concluded. He also warned that officials found responsible for negligence would face accountability.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Dr Mian Saeed confirmed that police had arrested the school owner. The institution had reportedly been operating under the name of an educational trust.
