Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has agreed to provide 50 scholarships to deserving students at FATA University to help them continue their education without financial difficulties.
The agreement was reached on Thursday, October 22, during a meeting between PBM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director Dr Lal Badshah and FATA University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohsin Nawaz.
The meeting took place during the director’s visit to the university, where both sides discussed students’ financial needs and ways to improve access to higher education.
Agreement to Support Financially Deserving Students
Both institutions agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) soon to formalise the scholarship programme.
The initiative aims to assist students struggling to meet educational expenses. It will also strengthen cooperation between PBM and the university in supporting students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
During the meeting, university officials highlighted the importance of financial assistance in helping students complete their academic programmes.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohsin Nawaz said financial constraints should not prevent deserving students from pursuing their education.
He added that the university administration remained committed to providing quality education, improving facilities and addressing students’ academic concerns.
University Welcomes Scholarship Initiative
The vice chancellor appreciated PBM’s willingness to support students and expressed hope that the proposed scholarships would ease their financial burden.
The meeting also covered educational needs, financial assistance and measures to promote higher education at the institution.
Administrative officers from both organisations attended the meeting. Agriculture University Peshawar Director Sports Muhammad Bilal Marwat was also present.
Focus on Expanding Educational Opportunities
Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal provides financial assistance to eligible students who face difficulties paying for their education.
Its educational assistance programmes aim to help deserving students enrolled in public-sector institutions continue their studies.
The proposed scholarships at FATA University are expected to provide financial relief to 50 students. However, further details about the application process and eligibility requirements are yet to be announced.
The planned MoU will formally establish the partnership and outline arrangements for implementing the scholarship programme.
