The sharp increase marks one of the strongest monthly performances for Pakistan’s textile industry in recent years.
July Exports Reach New Peak
Pakistan’s textile exports stood at $1.833 billion in July 2026. In comparison, exports totaled $1.282 billion in June 2026. The latest figures show a significant month-on-month improvement, reflecting stronger export activity during the period.
Moreover, textile exports amounted to $1.68 billion in July 2025. As a result, exports registered an annual increase of 9.11 percent, demonstrating continued growth compared with the same month last year.
The latest performance comes despite uncertainty in the wider region, highlighting the sector’s ability to maintain export momentum.
Annual Growth Remains Positive
Although July recorded an exceptional monthly increase, the textile sector also maintained overall growth during the last fiscal year.
Textile exports increased by 0.34 percent during fiscal year 2025–26 compared with the previous fiscal year.
During FY2025–26, Pakistan’s total textile exports reached $17.97 billion. In comparison, exports stood at $17.91 billion during FY2024–25.
While annual growth remained modest, the sector continued to expand and sustain its position as Pakistan’s leading export industry.
Textile Sector Continues to Drive Export Earnings
The textile industry remains the backbone of Pakistan’s export economy. It contributes a significant share of the country’s total merchandise exports and plays a vital role in generating foreign exchange.
The strong performance in July suggests renewed momentum after June’s comparatively lower export figures. Furthermore, the latest data reflects improved export volumes despite challenging regional conditions.
Industry stakeholders will closely watch whether this upward trend continues in the coming months. Sustained export growth could further strengthen Pakistan’s external trade position and support economic stability.
The latest figures underline the importance of the textile sector to the national economy. With exports reaching a record monthly level in July, the industry has once again demonstrated its resilience and capacity to perform under difficult circumstances.
